Reborn Cabinets is Celebrating 35 Years in Business!

Celebrating 35 Years in BusinessWow! How time flies. It’s hard to believe 35 years have gone by since Reborn Cabinets first opened its doors. It was a different world back in 1983. No smart phones. No Facebook. No internet. And the only thing twittering were the birds. But the time was right for Vinny and Brenda Nardo to make the leap into business ownership. Vinny had worked at local cabinetry companies for years, where he introduced their staffs to the process of cabinet refacing. Instead of completely tearing out and replacing old storage spaces, he showed them a faster and more cost-friendly alternative: leave the original frameworks, but provide new doors, drawer faces, and veneers. In this way, the cabinets could be given a stunning makeover without the need for extensive demolition work. Homeowners loved it, and soon cabinet refacing was one of the most popular home improvement renovations. Sensing a huge potential for growth, Vinny and Brenda decided to throw their hat into the ring and start Reborn Cabinets.

From Humble Beginnings

Even the most impressive companies can have humble beginnings. Microsoft and Apple started in garages. Dell started in a dorm room. And Reborn Cabinets started in an office across the street from a waste disposal company. With little more than a $300 table saw, Vinny and Brenda plunged headfirst into Southern California’s home improvement industry. Those early days were uncertain, but thanks to their perseverance and commitment to provide The Ultimate Remodeling Experience® for customers, Reborn Cabinets thrived. It wasn’t long before it had outgrown its original location and expanded to roomier accommodations around the block.

Today, in addition to our 10,000-square-foot showroom and manufacturing center in Anaheim, Reborn Cabinets has offices in Torrance, Lake Forest, Las Vegas, San Diego, and Pleasanton. Thanks to the leadership of Vinny and Brenda, as well as their sons Vince and Anthony who have since taken over the company’s day-to-day operations, Reborn Cabinets now employs more than 400 people and has completed thousands of bathroom and kitchen renovations for homeowners in both California and Nevada.

The Future is Bright

At Reborn Cabinets, we’ve never been content to rest on our laurels. Team Reborn is always thinking of new ways to provide the very best products and services for our customers. That’s why we’re thrilled to mark our 35th anniversary with a brand-new service for Pleasanton residents: our Signature Refacing. Homeowners throughout the area can now take advantage of the same comprehensive cabinet makeover options as our Southern California customers. It’s just one more example of our unflagging commitment to craftsmanship and personal service.

It’s been a long road to get to this point, but we’re only just getting started. When asked what he attributes Reborn Cabinets’ success to, company president Vince Nardo said, “The key to having a great company is having the right people.”

In 1983, Vinny and Brenda Nardo could only dream about where their company would be in 35 years. Our tremendous success is due to their hard work and determination to improve the communities they serve. And thanks to our dedicated team of professionals, we’re sure our next 35 years will be just as successful.
